By selling shares in advance of the growing season, a CSA reduces the burden of up-front costs for your local farmer and the savings is passed to you.
Your share fees provide us with money to purchase seed and supplies for the coming season. A large portion of our expenses occur when we order supplies in November and December. Using member fees for these costs ensures that our capital expenses are met up front so we don’t have to pass on the cost of financing to our members. We appreciate your commitment to local, sustainable food sources and a living wage for its producers. We encourage members who are able to pay their entire share cost at sign up to do so.
Payment Plans — for those who need it
We do not want the expense of a share with our farm to prevent anyone from signing up right away. This season we are offering a standardized payment plan.
In-full
Your member share fees provide us with money to purchase seed and supplies for the coming season. We encourage members who are able to pay their entire share cost at sign-up to do so.
In payments
We ask that members pay what they can at sign-up and have paid at least half of the cost of the share ($450) by their first pick-up in May. The second half ($450) must be paid by their first pick-up in August.
By arrangement
We know not everyone has the ability to pay up front. We are still happy to work with members who would like to arrange an alternative payment plan. Just contact us and we can discuss what’s possible.
*All payments are non-refundable beyond the second week of the season.*
We are accepting cash and checks only.
It’s okay with us if that means it’ll take a little longer for your payments to reach us. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Checks
Checks can be made out to Hunter Hill CSA and mailed to the farm: 901 Frost Hollow Road, Easton, PA 18040 or dropped off by appointment.
Cash
Cash payments can be dropped off at the farm by appointment. Please email farmer Dan to arrange a time to drop by.
* Receipts for purchase by cash or check will be issued by email when payment is received. Paper copies can be picked up or mailed by request. *
Late sign-ups
If you sign up after the the season has begun, you only pay for the remaining weeks of the season. So if you sign up during week 3, for example, we would deduct $60 from the full share cost for the first 2 weeks you missed and the season total would be $840.
